Turnip - White Egg, or Snowball

100% white colored interior and exterior This variety's roots are mild flavored, and can be picked and consumed as baby turnips (1 to 2 inches in diameter) or harvested later at the 3 to 4-inch size as standard turnips. The dark green 9 to 10-inch tops are sturdy and edible. When harvested small, they're excellent roasted whole and are so sweet that even the larger ones taste great raw when grated into salads. It can be harvested in May and June from a March sowing. It can be sown successionally up until august to give turnips into the early winter. Seed Count: 1.050 mg, (Approx. 600 seeds)   Days to Germination: 5-10 Maturity: 40-45 Days Sow Depth: ½” Seed Spacing: 1” Row Spacing: 12-18”   Sow in well worked soil in early spring and again in late summer.
