Chiba Green is an early-maturing edamame, ripening around 75 to 80 days after planting. This is about a week to 10 days earlier than other edamame types like Midori Giant.
Plant habit: The plants have a compact, upright, and bushy growth habit, which makes harvesting the pods simple.
Harvest: Harvest the pods when they are plump and still bright green. The beans inside should be fully formed but still tender. Waiting too long will cause the beans to become starchy.
