Golden Detroit Beet Heirloom is one of the best beet varieties.

Plant produces a gorgeous orange/yellow fruit. This variety is milder and sweeter than the red beet. They are perfect for canning, roasting, cooking, pickling and is one of the best tasting raw beet.

This beet does not bleed when cooked.

The leafy greens are also delicious and packed with nutrients.

Seeds should be soaked for 24 hours before planting.

Well drained soil. Prefers rich and fertilized soil.

Fall crops should be sown from midsummer through early fall, starting about 4 to 6 weeks before the first fall frost.
